The season finale.

It’s 5:34am. It’s the weekend. Life is awesome.

Hi friends,

The #weloveclt speaker series was this past Thursday at Industry Coworking with Alyssa Gorelick who continued the trend of sharing an honest, real and personal story to everyone that attended. She was awesome. If you missed it the audio (thanks to Andy Goh) and video (thanks to Yosh Mistry) will be available over the next week or so. Stay tuned.

It’s been an amazing 9 months so it saddens me to say that October will be the final speaker series event for the year. Let’s call it the season finale. I’m excited to have the Assistant City Manager of Charlotte Hyong Yi as my final speaker. Read his “Have you met?” here. He’ll be talking great cities, communities, people: love, empathy, kindness & connection. It’s not one to miss. RSVP’s are already at an all-time high. Get in there. RSVP here today.

Now let’s get to it.

Meet two awesome people.

Meet designer Ashley Bennet, the creative mind behind Dine & Draw Charlotte, a local meetup focused on bringing people together and staying in touch with drawing. She’s awesome.

Intro by Peter Fink. Meet Thomas Yon, one of the players of Street Soccer 945, a soccer team made up of athletes that are homeless. His story is amazing and I’m honored to be the outlet that shares it with all of you.

Do you know someone awesome and want to introduce them to all of We Love Charlotte? Let’s make it happen. I’ve laid out the instructions and guidelines here for you to make your own intro.

The Ashley Lathe reception.

Join HappeningsCLT for a reception celebrating Ashley Lathe and his solo exhibition at 809. Beautiful paintings and works on paper will be on view and available for purchase. Be there. Get more details here.

The wrap up.

Not sure what you’re doing this weekend? Check out Charlotte Agenda’s weekly planner. There’s quite a bit happening each and every week. I’ll be laying low, getting back the final 20% of my health from being sick.

Lastly, go to Duck Donuts if you haven’t already. Freaking delicious donuts and the people working there were awesome.

That’s it. Be awesome.
